Why I Do This Work

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist in San Diego, and my work is shaped by both my clinical training and lived experience.

As a second-generation Filipina from Hawai’i, I understand how cultural values, family dynamics, and expectations can influence how we relate to ourselves and others. Growing up in a family system impacted by divorce, navigating my own experiences with anxiety, relational trauma, and moving through many difficult life transitions has deeply shaped the way I show up in this work.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck in your thoughts, to feel the weight on your chest, or to carry things that are hard to explain. I know how it can show up in your body where you feel unsettled, anxious, or even nauseous. I understand how overwhelming and exhausting it can feel.

Because of that, I aim to create a space that feels grounded, real, and human. A place where you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin with and where we can slowly make sense of what you’ve been carrying.
